The New Year has brought a tremendous volume of work that will most likely involve hiring for two additional positions. The Vortex InterActive website will be finally renewed and updated after a year-and-a-half hiatus due to the onset of the workload that lead us to this position. New video projects have been in the works for the Great Oaks Adult Workforce Development Programs, most of which is taught at the Scarlet Campus in Sharonville where I teach Introduction to Digital Photography Levels 1 and 2. Classes will start January 25th and 27th. Course cost is $70.00 per person and seating is limited to 14.

On a personal success note, as a store team member, I am proud to have helped the Cord Camera Beechmont achieve the greatest percentage of increase over last year of all the Cord Camera stores within the Columbus based regional chain this Holiday Season. The Beechmont store is under the direction of its keen manager, Melissa Lane, who also happens to be taking on the role of Assistant Creative Director for Vortex Interactive - Congrats and keep up the great work!

Several new web clients will have their sites launched by Vortex InterActive by the middle of this year. One-on-one personal camera and Photoshop classes taught at the studio downtown Cincinnati are continuing to grow. A special thanks goes out to the hundreds of students who have taken classes at both locations - Scarlet Oaks and Vortex InterActive. Also, a very special thanks to those students who have allowed their work to be showcased on Facebook.

I wish everyone a great and prosperous New Year despite the alarming number of fish and bird deaths that apparently are continuing - do keep a watchful eye out to see what else develops. I truly am saddened by the losses. May God guide us to better waters and clearer skies.
