Photo Copyrights

According to the Photo Industry Copyright Laws set forth by the PMAI community, the photographer owns the copyrights to the photograph or set of photographs he or she takes and the copyrights must be sold, licensed or released to the customer for that customer to be able to mechanically or electronically reproduce the photograph. It should be noted that most professional photographers, including Vortex InterActive, will allow a small number of reproductions provided they are for non-commercial, non-distributed personal use, such as an artwork hanging on your wall, but permission for such use requires contact first. In other words, just call and ask to see what can be agreed upon as "fair use". Most of the time it will be released for such "fair use", but it is entirely up to the photographer, Vortex InterActive included here, to do so. The whole concept of the copyright belonging to the photographer is multi-faceted and not the least of which includes the ability for the photographer to earn a living and run a successful business.

Vortex InterActive.Com will not sell or distribute users' information to any other organization unless required to by law or court action. Vortex InterActive.Com may use information provided by registered users for its own internal purposes. It may also use information provided to notify registered users of announcements, changes in service, and any other matters at its discretion. Vortex InterActive.Com may use "cookies" or other technical means to track referrals, measure statistics, and customize content. A cookie is a small text file containing a unique identification number that is transferred from a Web site to the hard drive of your computer so that the site administrator may identify your computer and passively track its activities on the Web site. This unique number identifies your web browser to our computer system whenever you visit one of the sites in the Vortex InterActive network.
